Scenario

U+ Bank is expanding its retail financial services business to include personal investing. U+ Bank has decided to use the Pega GenAI™ Blueprint functionality to speed up the creation of a Know Your Customer (KYC) application. Once you have defined the Know Your Customer (KYC) application in Blueprint, you create and download a Blueprint file that you then import to build the application in Pega Platform™.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Import the Blueprint file into Pega Platform

Download the Know Your Customer (KYC).blueprint and Know Your Customer (KYC).pdf files to your device. Import the downloaded Blueprint file into Pega Platform to build the Know Your Customer (KYC) application.

Task 2: View the application

View the application to ensure it matches the application overview in the Blueprint PDF file.

 

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Initialization may take up to 5 minutes so please be patient.

Detailed Tasks

1 Import the Blueprint file into Pega Platform

  1. Download the Blueprint Know Your Customer (KYC).blueprint file to your device:

  1. On the landing page for the Pega instance, click Launch Pega Infinity™ to log in to Dev Studio.
  2. Log in as an Application Developer:
    1. In the User name field, enter author@uplusbank.
    2. In the Password field, enter rules.
  3. In the header of App Studio, click Application > New application.
  4. In the What type of Application do you want to build? dialog box, click Build from a Blueprint.

  5. In Build from a Blueprint page, and Select a Blueprint section, select Upload a Blueprint.

  6. Click Select a Blueprint to upload.
  7. Select the Blueprint file that you downloaded in step 1.
  8. Click Upload Blueprint.
    Note: In the current environment, this can take upto a minute.
  1. Open the Blueprint PDF file that you downloaded in step 2 for your reference.
  2. On the Application settings tab, review and verify the application name and the built-on application names, and then click Next.

  3. Review the Case Types, and then click Next.
  4. Review the data objects, and then click Next.
  5. Review the Personas, and then click Next.
  6. Review and confirm the information in the Application settings section, and then click Submit.
    Note: It can take several minutes for Pega to create your application in the current environment.
  1. Click Go to app.

2 View the application

  1. Confirm that you are in App Studio and that the Product Onboarding application is displayed.

  2. In the navigation pane, click Case Types, and then confirm that the Case Types match the ones in the Blueprint PDF file.
  3. In the navigation pane, click Data, and then confirm that the data object matches the one in the Blueprint PDF file.
  4. In the navigation pane, click Users > User management, and then confirm that the Persona matches the ones in the Blueprint PDF file.
